Roach Rest

The tasteful conversion of Roach Rest from one of the dairy herd cow sheds in 1996 has retained many original features, enhanced by the warmth of pine fitments along with comfortable furnishings and tasteful decoration, all together providing a very good standard of accommodation on one floor. Being on a single storey it is also, therefore, suitable for people with disabilities or mobility issues.

The accommodation comprises of a large kitchen, lounge, diner, 1 bedroom and a bathroom. Being on a single storey makes it suitable for people with disabilities.

The open plan kitchen diner is well equipped with an electric cooker, microwave and fridge with a freezer compartment. To enhance the self catering experience a comprehensive range of utensils is provided including a kettle and toaster. A washing machine,tumble drier and dishwasher are also provided to make light of those unavoidable chores.The dining area with adequate seating comprises a pine table and two chairs.

The living room is comfortable and cosy with seating for two and for entertainment a television, video, radio and cd player are provided. An electric fire offers a warming touch for those chilly winter evenings.

The bedroom comprises of two single beds with a wardrobe with adequate hanging space and a small bedside drawer with bedside lamp.

The bathroom which comprises of a 3 piece suite and over bath shower is tastefully decorated to suit most tastes.

The cottage is centrally heated and controlled by a thermostat in the living area. Bed linen and towels are provided for the duration of your stay. You will need to bring your own towels for use in the swimming pool.

A cot can be provided at no additional cost .

All electricity is paid for locally by means of an electric meter using 1 pound coins. The central heating is charged at £4.00 per day.
